Stephen brings over 35 years of international experience in safety, security, and training, combining a distinguished military background with consultancy in complex, high-risk environments. From 1990 to 2013, he served with the Irish Defence Forces, completing eight overseas tours in the Middle East and Kosovo. During this time, he held specialised instructional roles, including Military Unarmed Combat Instructor, and served in the Presidential Escort of Ireland, providing protection for visiting heads of state and dignitaries.
His career includes training at the Military College’s Cadet School and the United Nations Training School Ireland, where he prepared personnel in security, safety, and defence tactics. Since transitioning from the military, Stephen has worked with government agencies, corporations, NGOs, and private clients, delivering tailored training programmes in risk mitigation, HEAT (Hostile Environment Awareness Training), personal security, fire safety, first aid, and compliance.
A member of leading professional organisations such as ISRM, ISIA, and ASC (UK), Stephen also volunteers as an EMT and Community First Responder with the Order of Malta. Dedicated to excellence and resilience, he continues to design and deliver training that fosters awareness, preparedness, and confidence in every situation.
